We are so excited to have the prints in Wisconsin under the careful attention of WEN member Tony Drehfal and Art faculty/Department Chair, Kitty Kingston – Thank you!
The Wood Engravers’ Network Third Triennial Exhibition is the third juried, traveling exhibit featuring sixty-four (64) engravings by thirty-seven (37) artists from the United States, Canada, Ireland and Belgium. Juried by Gray Zeitz of Larkspur Press, the exhibit will travel through the end of 2019. Abigail Rorer’s color engraving, Stampede is featured above. There are so many excellent examples of contemporary wood engraving to see. Wisconsin local, Tony Drehfal, has two pieces in the exhibition that really pull you into the magical detail of the medium. This is a great interview with Tony where he discusses his process, materials and WEN.
We hope to see you at this exhibit or at the next one in Oregon during the annual Summer Conference – stay tuned for more details!
