Now is a great time to join the Wood Engravers’ Network!
We welcome all wood engravers!
If you enjoy following us on social media, and/or on our website blog, why not join and to get the FULL experience of being a member! No wood engraving experience is required – we welcome all levels of experience, from the merely interested to the collector to the historian to the professional. We want to bring energy to a printmaking medium that has been cast aside by industry and embraced by artists. We are interested in the history, the education and the practice of this absorbing medium – and we love to share with others!
We encourage member participation, but it is not obligatory. Members (and non-members) contribute articles, events, news and announcements for our biannual journal called the Block & Burin. As part of the twice-yearly journal, WEN organizes an optional exchange of original prints and related materials. These two items together have been dubbed a “Bundle”. Our mailings are twice a year; we aim for one in May and one in November.
Membership provides opportunities for exhibition, networking at our annual conference, print exchanges and bundle participation, as well as easy and centralized access to resources specifically for wood engravers.
