William Myers (St. Paul, Minnesota) is a longtime member of WEN – from the very beginning actually. His engravings are colorful, technical and alluring all at once. Myers is a book artist primarily working in wood engraving, woodcut, letterpress, and printing from found objects. His work has shown at the Myles Reif Performing Arts Center, Minnesota Center for Book Arts, Wood Engravers Network traveling exhibits, and a solo show at the Heritage Center in St. Peter, MN. Three of his engravings appear in Simon Brett’s An Engraver’s Globe: Wood Engraving World-Wide in the Twenty-First Century, and six appear in Stardust and Fate: The Blueroad Reader. Myers retired from teaching philosophy at St. Catherine University in 2012 (excerpted from Grand Marais Art Colony Instructor Info).
