The WEN 2016 annual summer workshop kicked off with a presentation from Finnish visiting artist, Inari Krohn. Inari talked about her approach to wood engraving using some untraditional end grain woods such as cherry, juniper, and more. Her unique combination of different processes is refreshing and beautiful, merging wood engraving, Japanese water-based woodcut and intaglio. Inari’s work is currently on exhibit at the Sead Gallery in downtown Bryan, TX until July 16.
