Latvian word “Novembra lieti” means “November Rains” – a form of Novembris from the Latin novem (nine) – the ninth month in the Roman calendar. The figure, I presume, is Feronia, Roman goddess of wild life, freedom, fertility, health and abundance.
Duluth, Minnesota artist, Jon Hinkel has organized our annual calendar exchange for 2017 and 2018.
