A recent acquisition (a wonderful holiday gift!) from Incline Press – When In Doubt, Wash: on the naming of cats by David Blamires with wood engravings by Chris Daunt with complimentary gifts such as Incline Press’ annual booklet To Greet the New Year (2017): The Bug Woman In Conker Time by Vivienne Palmer and wood engravings by Andy English. A broadside with a Bewick cut and a second booklet To Greet the New Year (2016): Better Are Not So Good extracted from William Hone’s Ancient Mysteries Described first published in 1823.
Loving the Kiran Ravilious decorative papers on the slipcase and covers. This is the deluxe edition of the book which I wanted specifically for the extra engravings by Chris Daunt. Being a cat lover, the book’s content obviously spoke to me too – providing historical references for cat’s names in history, literature and more.
Congratulations to Graham Moss of Incline Press for a superb job printing, designing and binding the book.
